Home Building Progress

Just wanted to let you know that we finally closed our loan on the house last week. Now the plan is in review with the city and engineers. Our builder, New Tradition Homes, says we should be able to break ground within a month! THEN, once we break ground, it will only be 4 months till we move in!! It IS going to happen!!! (wow, that's a lot of exclamation points)

the Prince and the Pauper

We are loving the Enterprise Middle School Play! It is the prince & the pauper, and we have been practicing since mid-October. Megan was cast as a townsperson and a prisoner. She has had practice after school most days, but loved every minute of it! The performances have been the last two weekends and she did a great job!!

Sarah was asked to be a costumer for the play, so she had a lot of work up front then during the performances she helps people with their costumes, mends anything that breaks, etc. during the performance. It hasn't been a whole lot of work...very boring is what she will tell you. At least she was able to work with her friend Courtney so it wasn't a total loss. I'm afraid she won't be on the crew for a school play again!

Gingerbread Houses!!

Well, mom carried through with her annual tradition of making gingerbread houses for all the grandchildren to decorate. We enjoyed spending an afternoon with Grandma & Grandpa Bonner, creating our masterpieces!!

Spirit Day

Since the school was having a Winterfest event tonight, they decided to have the December spirit day today. The girls decided to dress up, and went through our Christmas boxes to find something Christmas-y to wear. Here's what they came up with...

House Building Progress

After 2 1/2 great years in Maryland, we moved back to Richland this summer. We looked and looked for a home we loved, but couldn't find it. We decided to build, and purchased a lot in West Richland. It has taken a long time to get the right floorplan and options figured out, but we finally did it and now we are waiting for the loan to come through so we can break ground! The bank has extended our interest rate lock 4 times now because they are so backlogged with loans. Hopefully by the end of December, we will get to finish the loan and start building our home! This is what the lot looked like when we purchased it (there were three empty lots behind ours). The three empties have since been purchased and started building!!

WELCOME

Hooray, the Scott Tingey family now has its first official blog!! We will be posting information about our home building progress, and anything else that hits me... thanks for visiting!!
