We Have Officially "Broken Ground!"

I can't believe it - we have finally, as of today, broken ground for our house!! I was starting to think that it wouldn't happen...but here's the photo to prove it! I stopped by the lot before picking up Sarah from school, and just had to sit and watch for a few minutes. Very exciting!! Now, they say that it will be 4 months from ground-breaking until the house is done. That means late June/early July...which is just in time for us to be out of town for girls camp, Tingey family reunion & Twin Lakes! We'll fit in moving somewhere... Woo Hoo!!

Sarah's Birthday

Well, Sarah is officially 14 years old now! I can't believe I'm old enough to have a kid who can go to dances...pretty crazy! She had a wonderful birthday with good friends. The Richland School District gave her (and the rest of the kids) the day off. She took her bud Courtney to Macy's with her and they both got skin care lessons and makeovers. Then we went met Mollie & Connie for lunch. Then her new Mia Maid class came and kidnapped her to welcome her into their class. She said it was the best birthday ever!

Home Building Progress

Just wanted to let you know that we finally closed our loan on the house last week. Now the plan is in review with the city and engineers. Our builder, New Tradition Homes, says we should be able to break ground within a month! THEN, once we break ground, it will only be 4 months till we move in!! It IS going to happen!!! (wow, that's a lot of exclamation points)

the Prince and the Pauper

We are loving the Enterprise Middle School Play! It is the prince & the pauper, and we have been practicing since mid-October. Megan was cast as a townsperson and a prisoner. She has had practice after school most days, but loved every minute of it! The performances have been the last two weekends and she did a great job!!

Sarah was asked to be a costumer for the play, so she had a lot of work up front then during the performances she helps people with their costumes, mends anything that breaks, etc. during the performance. It hasn't been a whole lot of work...very boring is what she will tell you. At least she was able to work with her friend Courtney so it wasn't a total loss. I'm afraid she won't be on the crew for a school play again!

Well, mom carried through with her annual tradition of making gingerbread houses for all the grandchildren to decorate. We enjoyed spending an afternoon with Grandma & Grandpa Bonner, creating our masterpieces!!

Spirit Day

Since the school was having a Winterfest event tonight, they decided to have the December spirit day today. The girls decided to dress up, and went through our Christmas boxes to find something Christmas-y to wear. Here's what they came up with...
